About Onionring

Onionring was started up in 2004 by brothers Daniel and Nick Maycock. Initially as a guide to Cheshire, the guide has now grown to cover the whole of the North West. The design of the site has evolved and after months of development our new site was launched on 18th Jan 2013 (the previous version was launched back on Jan 28th 2008)

Daniel's role is in marketing and sales while Nick operates the technical aspects and the website design service.

The number of visitors using the site has reached over 150,000 each month, with over 3500 businesses listed. Geographically the scope of the site is continuing to expand as word continues to spread about the service and the return advertisers get from an advert on onionring.
