MP back's Indian Brasserie for Prestigious Tiffin Cup

From a multitude of choices, Chester MP Stephen Mosley has nominated the Indian Brasserie Upton for the coveted ‘Tiffin Cup’.
The Tiffin Cup is an annual British competition to find the best South Asian restaurant in the United Kingdom.
Nominees are selected by their constituency and then put forward by their local MPs. One restaurant from every region is then shortlisted and invited to participate in the Grand Final ‘cook-off’ event held at the Houses of Parliament, with the dishes judged by MPs and guest celebrities.
The contest not only allows MPs to applaud the quality of South Asian food in Britain but also raises much needed funds for the charity World Vision. Stephen Mosley said: “We are very lucky to have a number of excellent South Asian restaurants in Chester and I’m sure that the Indian Brasserie will do themselves & Chester proud.”
Owners, Firuz Miah and Jai Hashim said: “We are delighted after winning ‘Best Curry Award’ for the second consecutive year at the prestigious Chester Food & Drink Festival - to then be nominated by our local MP for the Tiffin Cup is a great achievement. It has been a fantastic year for our staff & ourselves at the restaurant.”
The next stage of the competition is for the restaurant to be visited by a mystery diner and then one restaurant from each region of the country will be chosen to go forward to the grand ‘cook-off’ at Bellamy’s Restaurant in the Houses of Parliament.
