The Red Melon Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant has now been trading for just over a year, and I have enjoyed the hustle and bustle accompanied with running a business. The most satisfying element in this business is when customers, who also become good friends, are happy with the service they have received and, also equally as important enjoyed their meal. My journey in the catering business started in Birmingham 14 years ago. I worked in various restaurants to name a few Milan’s and Festival Balti. My job ranged from working in the kitchen as well as greeting and serving customers. After many happy years as an employee, I had the great urge to join the game and open up my own business. My first catering business was called Shimla Balti, which was located in Wednesfield just outside Birmingham. This was the first real taste I experienced having a business that was mine and something that I always have been passionate about – it was fantastic. Shimla Balti was doing well, so my next move was to open a second business in Crewe, Cheshire. The new business was called The New Aloka, and this was a fast food takeaway establishment just like Shimla Balti. Both businesses were comfortably going strong and I was content for a while, however still had the desire to open a restaurant. After a lot of consideration and discussions with my wife, we decided to open a restaurant and run the business together. My wife and I explored many different locations to start our business, and we both agreed that we liked Nantwich as the atmosphere of the town was always warm and welcoming, and there was a nice friendly feel about the town. So The Red Melon Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant was born in the lovely town of Nantwich, and ever since we have enjoyed meeting new customers, as well as being re-acquainted with customers from the past. It is wonderful to see the customers return to the restaurant and recommending the restaurant to friends and family. For that I would like to say a special thank you to all my loyal customers. It is also very satisfying to see as mentioned before that customers/ friends are happy with all aspects of the restaurant, including the service, experience, surroundings and, as most customers would put it “sensual taste of our Asian cuisine”. Therefore I would like to share my passion and invite you all to experience the phenomena of The Red Melon Indian and Bangladeshi Restaurant. You will be spoilt for choice from the various offers we have throughout the week, and all at affordable prices.
