Expecting to follow in the footsteps of award winning sister restaurants Salt House Tapas and Hanover Street Social, Salt House Bacaro specializes in Venetian style cichetti and charcuterie dishes.
This modern restaurant and Campari bar serves a full range of small plates heavily influenced by the Mediterranean. With 15 years under his belt, Head Chef Matt Walsh is passionate about Italian cooking and has developed a delicious menu including classics like fritto misto, chicken and Parma ham saltimbocca, charcuterie boards along with grilled king scallops. More adventurous dishes include Stornoway black pudding with chicken livers and Marsala wine and Roasted monkfish with pancetta and bean cassoulet.
Their own carbonara pizzette is proving to be very popular; the cichetti is perfect for a snack at the bar with arancini, pancetta croquettes and crostini early hits. Classic tiramisu, buttermilk panna cotta are all seriously good and their lemon cheesecake with an amaretti crust and rosemary blackberries is just as delicious.
The wine list has something for everyone ranging from £15.50 for the Italian house white (Sollazzo) to the outstanding Sansonima Merlot at £58.95 for those special occasions when only the best will do. There are also lesser known grape varieties such as Fiano (white) and Vermentino (white) listed that will challenge the fan of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
The first Campari bar in Liverpool will be a hit with the afterwork set, tempting Aperol Spritz, breakfast Negroni and Tocco Rossos sit well next to the imaginative Bellinis, Ginger Bellini.
With an individual, urban and relaxed look, Bacaro shows off its beautiful lighting and long bar. Designers are already preparing nominations for ‘Restaurant and Bar design awards 2014’.
With individual and handmade lighting, original and commissioned art pieces. The wooden bar top was sourced from the water ways of Venice Bacaro is set to WOW its guests and feels right on trend amongst the Liverpool restaurant and bar scene.
