Chang Noi Thai

Thai

Authentic Thai restaurant in this wonderful country pub with a relaxed atmosphere, good food and ale. Large conservatory for dining.

Robert, Vasana & Jan have been creating and cooking Thai & Asian food for 17 years around the country. This is our latest venture, and by far a smaller pub. Much more cosier and warm. Colin Crompton from the Comedians, and the Wheel Tappers & Shunters Social Club use to own our pub, and we are proud of that.

Visited this Chang Noi for the first time this evening. The food was excellent, as good as any we have eaten in Thailand. The Penang curry was particularly good. We will definitely return.

Only two reviews on onionring but they were both good so we decided to give it a go and so glad we did. Food was fantastic. We tried the set menu (£13) and were treated to 5 well cooked tasty dishes between four of us in addition to some very nice starters. Vegetables were crisp and tasty - not at all soggy as can sometimes happen with Thai or Chinese food. Just the right amount of spice - could enjoy the flavour without needing a gallon of water. Service was excellent - discreet but attentive. All in all a great value night out for four people - £78 including wines and beers. Will definitely come again and would consider it worth the drive to pick up a takeaway.

Food was really good - very fresh and delicious flavours.

We visited the new Chang Noi Thai restaurant at the Birch and Bottle and had a lovely meal on a Sunday evening. We chose the Royal menu which gave us 2 starters and 4 'surprise' main courses for £13 a head. The food was delicious, all the curry pastes are made by the chef from fresh ingredients and the vegetables were authentic thai including miniature aubergines which give little taste explosions in the mouth. We are returning with friends very soon and heartily recommend this new venture from a Thai family.
