Abruzzo
Italian
[show 19 more photos]Abruzzo is a traditional yet stylish Italian restaurant. It has a real Italian feel - traditional, not pretentious, but friendly and easy going.
The open kitchen means you can see the chef using the best ingredients to prepare great tasting traditional Italian dishes. The cuisine is traditionally Italian with Chef’s Speciality dishes, displayed on the blackboards, including seasonal favourites, these are changed frequently with what is in season, to keep your dining experience fresh! The chef is happy to prepare any special dishes you may request, or anything you fancy even if its not on the menu.
Takeaways are always available, and you can choose from the whole menu. In a rush? Well drop us a line to pre-order and we'll have it ready for you to pick up.
The restaurant has a 5 star hygiene rating.
Upstairs is a bright function room, ideal for birthday parties, and functions of any type, holding up to 45 people, or come and relax upstairs with your kids, so they can be as noisy as they want!
Please note due to high bank charges use of debit/credit cards will incur a small charge, there is however a cash point very nearby.

Excellent food and proper friendly. Interesting specials board, too. Couple this with the special offers, (lunch time, the tuesday evening deal etc.), I feel you can't go wrong. With no shortage of Italian restaurants in Macclesfield and usually being fairly expensive, the deals give you a chance to try Abruzzo, without busting the bank. Great food, great staff and always a relaxed time. Nice work to all involved.

Amazing food. Cheshire's best. A must try restaurant for all foodies. Excellent choice especially for vegetarians Pasta lovers. My wife and I have had the best italian meal in a very long time. Penne arabiatta and penne primavera are out of the world.

Just had a fantastic meal at Abruzzo. There was 10 of us including 2 kds. The meals were lovely and atmophere and service fanatstic, and very much welcomed the kids. I had the steak which was perfectley cooked (rare as requested). We all commentated what a great restaurant it was, noting like what used to be there.
The only down point is its not closer to my home!

We visited Abruzzo on Saturday after consciously avoiding it since it opened because it did not seem to be that much different than its previous incarnation (Pappagallos). However, we were ver pleasnatly surprised - great atmosphere, great food and very friendly staff. A great addition to Macc's crowded restaurant scene, and we will certainly return!

Our party of 6 booked just after christmas. We had a lovely time. The service was excellent as was the meal. Nothing was too much trouble.
We 6 are returning this week to celebrate birthdays. I sincely hope our experience is as wonderful as our 1st.

This is an absolutely fantastic restaurant, the staff offer brilliant service with amazing food to match, nothing you can ask is beyond their capability, The fact you can see the food being cooked is also a great visual aspect within the restaurant. The food is one of the best meals i have had in a long time, with a range of flavours in every dish, i had the steak which was fantastic, its also great to see an italian cuisine restaurant that's actually ran by an Italian family, a definite 10/10 in my book and a great taste of Italy not to be missed. Me and my friends will defiantly be back very soon to see what else we can sink our teeth into. Thank you for a great night Abruzzo Restaurant & Staff. x x

Always wonderful service & food - our favourite restaurant in Europe

We tried Abruzzo for the first time, based on recommendations from the Onionring website. We opted for the early meal deal. It still worked out quite expensive for a mid-week meal, after having ordered starters & dessert it cost us £46. Overall the service was good, the restaurant had a nice welcoming feel to it, and the food was very tasty. Would return.

What a little gem Abruzzo is, I ate here on Friday night with my wife on a party of twelve the restaurant was very busy when we got there but we were sat down straight away and treated to little bruchetta which I thought was a very nice touch our waitress who was a very nice young lady called helen looked after our every need the food and service were outstanding and a nice change from the usual stagnent chain italians that you get. Abruzzo is quite a querky little place very laid back with a great atmosphere what a good restaurant should be we will deffinitely be back
