Fantastic place - the food was of the highest standard and very reasonably priced for the quality. The New Brasserie menu had a lot of my favourite classic type dishes, I had lobster bisque and a steak, both were fantastic. Still room though to squeeze in an equally as good creme brulee. We stayed over and the hotel staff were courtesy and friendly throughout, the room was very nice with a large terrace overlooking the street. Highly recommend a visit.

16th July Bastille Evening.
Just a great night out from beginning to end, whilst the food reached the usual high standards of Belle Epoque,a good night out is about much more than the food ,(which was as I've already said 1'st class). The staff were polite, courteous and attentive from the time we entered the the building to the time we got into the taxi, booked for us by them. Many thanks for a super night out.

Fantastic food! The restaurant has recently been refurbished and looks great. Top stuff!

Lovely place for romantic meal. Midweek isn't as busy as weekends. The food is always fancy, but fills you. I like it because they use local produce.

I attended the wedding of one of my best friends at the beginning of September at the Belle Epoque. I have to say that i was impressed from the moment i walked through the entrance. The building is beautiful from the outside but even that didn't prepare me for the stunning rooms inside. The room where Helen and Jonathan got married was perfect; intimate and cosy. The room for dinner was gorgeous, i loved the way it had been decorated and the furniture was much smarter than anything i've seen at similar occasions! The garden was very pretty and useful for those times when we overheated from all the dancing we were doing downstairs! Finally, as an experienced event manager i have to commend the staff on their service throughout the whole afternoon/evening. They coped extremely well, especially when we became more demanding, the later it got, and the more alcohol drunk!

A lovely place. Went to a friends wedding there last month and from start to finish it was an incredible day. Mostly down to the couple, but the venue definitely played its part.
The building and its contents set the mood perfectly and thanksfully the food that was served during the reception was lovely - my mouth still waters at the thought of the Chocolate Tart which was served for pudding.

I went to a wedding here last month and just fell in love with the place. My husband and I went back for a meal this week and had some great food. The service is friendly but professional. It's a lovely place - perfect for a spot of romantic evening!

Proper and real food, served in a stunning restaurant. What more could you want? As the previous guy said reputations only last so long, 35 years in this case !!

The Belle Epoque makes you feel special. The decor is simply breath taking. The menu is varied (for those who like to be adventous and for those who don't), and the food is superb. Whilst it is busy on a weekend, there can be a delay, but take good company and make it an enjoyable night. If you want a quick meal - go to Mcdonalds!

Our favorite resturant has recently changed, service was poor and food not to their normal standard. My wife actually wrote regarding our recent meals. The owners have also purchased another establishment The Duke of Portland in Lach Dennis, maybe this has had an effect on the Belle Epoque. Previous reputations only last so long....

excellent food as usual (although relatively pricey). Very busy on a Saturday night. Evening with friends spoilt by very poor service, e.g. 25 minute to order (asked twice) and 30 minutes for coffee (again asked twice) plus further 15 minutes for change after paying. Arrived 1945, left 2315.

Decided to go somewhere different for a meal, so ended up in Knutsford as we have heard that there are a number of good restaurants there. On walking down the street the first one we came to that looked promising was the Belle Époque, menu was a bit pricey for a Thursday but we spotted they had a set menu 2 courses for £13 so decided to give it a go.
As it was early we were the first table in, but the place soon filled up with Businessmen and alike. Service was good, but they initially only brought the full menu over, so had to ask for the set menu (slightly embarrassing to ask for the cheap menu!). Food was served quickly, my starter of Chicken and Bacon pate was nice.
Mains were quick to follow and looked great. Haddock goujons for me were again good, but not the most exciting. My partner had the Red Snapper which also looked good and was a decent size. Wine was very good and they have a great selection. The restaurant looks spectacular and is worth a visit but perhaps go for a special occasion and stick with the main menu.
