My boyfriend & I dined here for the first time on Friday evening. The food was outstanding. I have never tasted such a wonderful dessert (chocolate fondant) and the chef surprised my boyfriend, whose birthday it was, with a 'Happy Birthday' message written in chocolate - a lovely touch. Excellent, friendly service. Quite expensive but worth the money for a special treat.

never wrote a review before, rarely had a meal worthy of writing one. Absolutely love the Dun Cow. Fantastic service, amazing food. So much more than just a pub bistro. This is fine dining and Sundays cant come round quick enough for me. Its unassuming character from the outside makes it one of the best kept secrets in Cheshire. Long may it continue (and no, I dont work there or own it!!) Patrick

very surprised how great the food and the decor was, have passed this pub many times but this was my first visit and it won't be my last, i thought it was the best food i have eaten in Cheshire.

ALAN, WHALEY BRIDGE

four of us gents (who have all eaten in all the finest restaurants) ordered lunch at the Dun Cow. We asked the chef in advance to prepare a tasting menu of his choice. We had six courses, all absolutely sensational. Previously I had dinner off the a-la-carte menu and that too was fabulous. Make the effort and go and you will not be disappointed.

This was our first visit to the Dun Cow Inn. Superb from start to finsh; service, ambience, food - couldn't fault it in any way. Would highly recommend dining here. We will definitely be returning.

Rita, Timperley

Having seen the good reviews on Onionring, we thought that we'd give the Dun Cow a visit with family who were currently visiting from abroad. We all had an excellent meal and will certainly be dining here again!

Not been in this pub for years was recommended to try it and found a lovely friendly pub with some of the best food I have eaten in Cheshire

Had the best New Years eve EVER! Food was 6 courses of Michilin level. The live sax player was fantastic and piped in midnight wearing his kilt.
Then we danced into the early hours, the new owners should be very proud !

Super food, spot on fillet, and really buzzey the other night. Now have extra deal for regular customers for free bottle of wine too.
From 2nd in pub of year, must win next year for certain.

Louise, Macclesfield

Food looks stunning and tastes fabulous. Chef is a genius perfectionist and deserves to be highly recommended.

We came back for dinner!! The previous weekend we had an excellent meal in one of the 'F Word's best local restaurants' category winners. Our opinion was that the Dun Cow shaded it! The cod starter followed by a delicate lamb and then a creme brulee, all gorgeous.

Chris - Hale

Excellent lunch - the bucket of native seafood was outstanding. So impressed, we have booked for dinner next week
