Chris has produced a wonderful establishment that captures the essence of the English country pub better than any I know of.An excellent menu backed by a high class chef, eaten in comfort and washed down with fine wine or real ale. My children and grandchildren (babies) and myself had Sunday roast here at tea time. Food was excellent and waiter was very attentive and pleasant. This is an extremely comfortable and inviting pub and the decor is first class. Altogether a memorable experience and I shall certainly be going...... more

I have lived within 10 miles of the Golden Pheasant and passed it routinely on my daily commute for nearly 20 yrs.It was never a great night out for a meal....it is now though!Excellent menu,well cooked with fresh decor and very professional staff combine to make this a preferred location. ... more

Great food. Good Beer & Wine. Excellent Staff and attentive Management.The smallest detail is viewed as important and the management act quickly to put right anything that is not correct. The transformation of the Public areas is excellent and this place is recommended very highly. ... more

This pub has changed beyond all recognition since the recent takeover by Chris and Tim. The food is terrific but more importantly the pub itself has been transformed from a dour place to have a drink to one which is now friendly and welcoming. ... more
