Having undergone a fabulous refurbishment Stockton Heath's first Turkish restaurant is now open and delighting customers with authentic dishes! The menu features great hot and cold mezze dishes, including our speciality - a la Turka Prawn Casserole.
We have fantastic Lamb, Seafood and Chicken main meals, as well as our tasty Mixed Chargrills. Vegetarians are also well catered for, and if you are in the mood for sharing we have some great mixed platters.
The restaurant is bright and modern, split over two levels with a fantastic sun terrace on the 1st floor.

Came in early midweek with a large group, the restaurant soon filled up. The jalapeño starter was beautiful and v tasty. The lamb tagine also delivered - the meat falling apart on the fork and the couscous perfectly cooked.

wow. where to start. from going in, atmosphere great, everyone at their own tables doin their own thing until the singer is on friday night. relaxed, no rush, we were a bit late but had as much time as we needed to order, from starters to mains, absolutely beautiful food. Then to top it the belly dancer came out, very pretty girl, her dancing was good and we couldnt believe it when she decided to bring us all up one by one to join her. I couldnt stop laughing, everybody said what a great night and my daughter whos birthday it was said it was the best place she had eaten in 19 years ! lol. Cant wait to go back

First visit to La Turka and definitely wont be my last. Stopped for lunch with my daughter, which was delicious. Staff explained the meze dishes to us. Very friendly and helpful. Would like to try the evening experience next time.

Been several times before and the food has always been excellent. First visit on a special offer tapas & drinks. Food was excellent, cooked perfectly and so tasty. Warm and friendly service, food served quickly but not rushed. However,the drinks service was a little slow. Looking forward to my next visit.

We booked late on and managed to get a good spot, the food was perfectly cooked and extremely tasty. The service was good considering it was so busy. Only issues were that the crooner wasn't so great (I preferred the traditional music on beforehand) and the bellydancing was a bit forceful upon people. Food and value for money were great and I'd definitely go again :)

Definitely recommend this restaurant. The service was brilliant, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was not only delicious but we got generous portions and its not overpriced. Would highly recommend the platter for 2 main course (but ask for the pittas seperate rather than underneath the meats) There is also a very good atmosphere with a superb singer which sets the mood for the evening. We have already booked to go back for New years eve because we love it so much! Thank you very much to all the lovely staff and the chef.

Enjoyed a client meeting whilst sampling their lunchtime fayre. The choice and quality of food was very good with specials and a la carte discounts available to suit all wallets. Service was attentive; whilst remaining discrete as and when required. Drinks and food came to £23. Highly recommended.

Visiting the restaurant with friends, first impressions were how well the restaurant had been refurbished. Split over 2 Floors , it felt very spacious, airy and bright. While some local restaurants can be very noisy , this didn’t seem to be case here even later when it was busy. There is also an outside terrace I understand for those few days when the sun shines.
Second impressions were how friendly and attentive the staff were as we were immediately given menus and asked for drink orders.
The menus offer a very wide choice of starters and mains that certainly appear to be authentic Turkish dishes. And all at very reasonable prices.
Whilst our wives enjoyed a salad and a falafel (chick pea and cracked wheat), my friend and I shared a mixed platter mezze. This was a generous mixture of hot and cold starters including halloumi, humus and stuffed vine leaves which was more than sufficient.
There is such a wide choice of mains (and starters) that it is very difficult to choose but for main courses I had a lamb dish – they offer around 10 different ones! My skewered lamb which was marinated in herbs and chargrilled was exceptionally good. Others had the Iskender – a combination of chicken and lamb –the lamb cutlets and a chicken casserole. We all agreed the food was exceptional - with good portions, nicely cooked and presented.
Unfortunately we weren’t able to try the sweets as we had had more than enough already but finished off with coffees and my friend had a brandy.
Overall we were left with excellent impressions of the restaurant. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, the excellent food Makethis the perfect addition to the Stockton Heath restaurant scene.

Visited for lunch on Saturday. Menu good value for money and good portions. I had the meze platter which was very generous and had a good variety of tastes. Would definitely go again. Service bit erratic on arrival but improved and was welcoming.
