Tropeiro

A South Brazilian style restaurant located in the centre of Chester. Named after the Brazilian cowboy, Tropeiro's food has its roots set deep in the traditional style ate by the original Tropeiro's. As to be expected, this was meat, cooked over charcoal and shared by all the family, and families that travelled together as a group.
In Tropeiro the various cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and many more are slowly grilled over glowing charcoal embers on the traditional churrascaria, where over 60 skewers of meat are slowly rotated, this truly is a sight which has to be seen to be believed.
The concept of a churrascaria has grown and grown, in particular in Brazil but all over the world, with churrascaria's cropping up in Downtown New York, and over Europe.
With its style of dining, Rodizio, you will never leave Tropeiro hungry. The concept involves the Skewers of meat been bought to your table and carved straight on to your plate. It is not just the food that will bring you to a churrascaria, it's also the theatre. Walking down stairs and seeing the Garçon's (the meat carvers) moving between the tables, people around the and with the rustic style Tropeiro has created the atmosphere and feel is amazing.
Alongside the succulent cuts of meat, there is a fully stocked buffet offering up hot and cold Brazilian dishes. With fresh salads prepared daily, stews, cheeses, Parma Ham, and various other bits.

Excellent experience, well worth travelling for, restaurant interior is pleasant and welcoming and the food is very authentic and delicious....a meat lovers paradise..oddly the dish I enjoyed the most were the Brazilian recipe sausages.
Staff were attentive without being annoying and service was first class..including the staff being aware of the provenance of the ingredients on offer...great value for money

This place is quite an experience! The buffet section was well stocked with all manner of stuff, the star of that being the beef and vegetable stew, which was a real surprise. The skewered meat was generally quite good (not outstanding, but good and plentiful), though some of the beef was rather over-rare (I'm sure one bit of beef skirt was still going moo), but they willingly brought out some more well-done beef for those of us that wanted it. We left feeling full and all enjoyed it - certainly something different.

We visited here after Christmas 2010, What a fantastic meal. It is a bit expensive, but very worth it. The meat was the best i have ever tasted. We are booking again for February for my sons 21st birthday
