Bar/Food/Function Room/Bed & Breakfast/Caravan & Campsite. Carriages is a country house situated in the heart of beautiful Cheshire countryside. We serve good home-cooked food, Real Ale & a warm welcome.
Carriages is located approx 7 miles from Chester (just off A41 Chester-Whitchurch Rd) and surrounded by many of Cheshire's wonderful attractions such as Cheshire Ice-cream Farm, The Candle Factory, Cheshire Fisheries, Chester Zoo, Beeston & Peckforton Castles and Cheshire Oaks Outlet shopping village. There are also a number of enjoyable walks located nearby including Sandstone Trail & Bishop Bennetts Way.
Beer garden & patio. We serve traditional home-cooked food & a wonderful Sunday Roast which is availble from 12:00 - 2:30pm and 5:00pm - 7:00pm! Families & large parties also catered for.

The campsite was great. Lots of room and good clean facilites. The bar and restaurant were open and the staff were great. Friendly place.

This was our first visit to Carriages restaurant and campsite and we were delighted with the location, facilities and friendliness of the new owners Yvonne & Peter Burn.
It seemed that nothing was too much trouble for the staff and we found all of them working in the bar & restaurant to be happy, friendly and helpful. They serve real ales which were of an excellent standard.
The restaurant is well known locally and we decided to sample their home-cooked Sunday roast and were very happy with the quality of the food – the beef coming from a local source it simply melted in the mouth. And the price was very reasonable indeed! It is probably advisable to book in advance for Sunday (but they also serve Sunday lunch in the evening as well) and would imagine they are pretty popular through the week too.
The location of the campsite is easily accessible and is set in good cycling country.
They are happy to have children and dogs, and parents will probably find a visit to the nearby Ice Cream Farm an interesting excursion for their offspring.
We are happy to report that we were very satisfied with all The Carriages had to offer and wish them all the best.
