Castra Brasserie
Situated in the Dene Hotel in the historic Roman city of Chester, Castra takes its name from the Latin for fortress, serving a strong selection of smart, modern brasserie classics. The bright and airy restaurant has a cosy, uncluttered feel, with sturdy contemporary furniture and a period beamed ceiling. Local ingredients feature heavily on the menu and the blackboard specials, with dishes such as grilled swordfish with avocado and lime salsa or rack of Welsh lamb with a rosemary jus.
