No.4 Dine & Wine is a modern English restaurant, privately owned and run. Now into their 7th year the restaurant has gone from strength to strength.
The extensive menu incorporates the freshest ingredients and all home-made dishes including desserts.
Tucked away down a small cobbled street in the heart of Didsbury, set slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main road in No.4. Quite simple named, as the address is 4 Warburton Street.
Step into the intimate and inviting atmosphere where you can be assured of a warm welcome. Owned and run by Paul and Nina Burton who take pride in its day-today running.
Paul's passion for food ensures each dish is freshly prepared and cooked, with a variety of modern English dishes available. Seriously sensible food with hints of exciting flavours from all over the world and ...fantastic homemade desserts. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers where possible and delivered daily.
Nina makes sure you can relax in comfort and enjoy the whole experience as she oversees friendly yet efficient and attentive service.

Brilliant Service, Wonderful Food. My partner and i tried out the mid-week deal this week and we were really impressed. This is our 3rd visit and every time the food has been amazing and service has been brilliant. Staff are attentive and very friendly, the restaurant itself is simply but nicely furnished. My risotto was the best i had ever had and the cheesecake was heaven! This place really is a gem and i urge everyone to try it.

All eleven of us had an excellent Christmas meal we will be returning. Nice homely atmosphere very relaxing and not rushed. We got extra coffee at the end when prompted. Overall we were suitably impressed.

New fan - First visit last night (of many to come) for my Mothers birthday. Food was superb from the starters to the deserts, service was attentive but discrete, and there is a really nice intimate feel about the place as well. Some may say its expensive, but personally I feel its priced fairly considering the quality and overall experience - You get what you pay for is certainly true here. Can recommend Chicken salad starter and the Slow cooked pork was superb. Made a nice birthday night a lovely birthday night - Thank you !

My fiance and I had wanted to go to this restaurant for awhile as we had heard great reviews so we went on a tuesday to try the 'midweek menu'. The food was fantastic, our starters were gorgeous, our steak was beautiful cooked to perfection and deserts were fantasic and all for £14.95. Quality was certainly not spared for the set menu. We will definatley be visiting again!!

Wonderful menu, orginal, contemporary and not at all ostentatious. I was completely spoilt for choice. I had delicious and perfectly cooked scalops, gorgeous halibut wrapped in smoked salmon on a divine creamy mash and a creme brulee tart to die for. Cosy, intimate atmosphere, excellent service but would always prefer downstairs to up. They just need to sort their mint tea box out!

Do not really want to say how good this place is as I would like to keep it as a little gem. However praise when praise is due. The best meal, staff and hosting you could ever want. Could only give it a 10 out of 10 but it deserves more.

Ten of us went and had a fabulous evening some weeks ago so we took some more friends with us and went back again! The meal was perfect both times - beautifully served, piping hot and really delicious. The staff were lovely, they didn't rush us or make us feel that we should leave (we were the last table both times!).

So many restaurants give you one or two good meals, but then start to disappoint fairly rapidly. Not No 4. We have been going there ever since it opened, and find ourselves going back more and more frequently. We have been as a couple, as a family, with friends, with an office outing, with business associates, with visiting relatives - even with friends from abroad. Not a single disappointing meal in dozens. Superb quality food. Superb value.

We went to No.4 last night and had a fantastic meal. The duck won tons and chorizo salad starters were both excellent and generously sized. The mains of calf's liver and belly pork were also fantastic. We shared an eton mess for pudding which was a perfect finish. The good food and excellent service from friendly staff make this a great place to dine.

This little gem of a place not only looks and is homely, warm and friendly but the food is exquisite. It far out weighted our high expectations and the only problem was what to choose from the outstanding menu! Oh well - we'll just have to go back to try more! We particularly liked the open hatch to see the love and care that went into the preparations of our feed!

have been here on many occasions and have had a fantastic meal each time, must recommend the lemon curd cheesecake, its fantastic!! the serive is excellent, with warm, friendly staff and you can even watch the chef cooking the meal which is alkways a good sign. definately a must!

We took some very fussy friends there for the first time last night and we were all very impressed. As usual the food and service from Nina was superb. I highly recommend the calves liver Mmmmmmm!We even got the football results from the kitchen. Excellent.

We have visited No.4 Dine and Wine twice and have not been disappointed. The menu always has a great choice of dishes and always taste home cooked and beautifully presented. Staff are attentive and friendly without being OTT. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Located in a quiet side street in the centre of Didsbury. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table upstairs. The restaurant was full with a nice atmosphere. Drinks order taken promptly and once I'd finally made up my mind (the menu had quite a few dishes tempting me) as was the food order. Thai Beef salad starter was beautiful, good size. I got to try a duck wonton which again was very tasty. We didn't wait too long for the mains which were nicely presented. My salmon and noodles dish was cooked to perfection and I would certainly recommended, my partner had a fillet steak (which I was debating over earlier). Glad to see it was a good sized piece of meat, again very tasty (apparently, I didn't get to try this one!).
Three out of four of us had desserts, and all had the hot chocolate sponge - which was gorgeous.
All in all a great meal - top marks.

No 4 is a real welcome change to the chains that seem to be taking over in Didsbury. We've been here 3 times now and each meal has been perfect. The choice on the menu is excellent (even if it a reduced menu e.g. Christmas and Valentines day), definatley one of those restaurants where you you have difficulty choosing. The staff are very friendly and the service superb. The only downside to the place is sometimes it can lack atmosphere if there aren't many people dining. But this is certainly no reason not to give it a try. The place is brilliant!

Didsbury has a wide choice of restaurants which we categorise into Wednesday night and Friday night (Friday night being places which we want to start the weekend off with). No.4 is a Friday night to put it simply. The menu indicates creativity and high quality, the food confirms this, and along with excellent presentation and just the right servings this recent arrival to Didsbury is on the Friday night list, the impress friends from London list, and the parents list.
I also need to mention the service and venue, both were faultless - see you again soon No.4.

Went for lunch here today & it was excellent. I had the Lamb & Rosemary Sausages which were delicious. The food is all cooked fresh so you may have a bit of a wait but the quality & presentation is much better than you would get if it was Fast Food! You can see the chef's at work - a nice touch - & the staff are very friendly & eager to please. Only one gripe - the door opens straight off the street so it can be a bit draughty in the front part of the restaurant but my advice would be to wear a thick jumper and enjoy this dining experience!

We have used this restaurant every month for the last year for our social group and every time it just gets better the staff are excellent and very profesional. Nina is a star nothing is too much trouble and Paul and his staff in the kitchen are a credit to the place even going as far as cooking our own dishes and putting together special menus out of all the restaurants we use in and around manchester No4 is the one i always recommend first
