Yara is a family run restaurant in Altrincham specialising in traditional Lebanese and Syrian food.
Opened in 2009 Yara has already gained a reputation for excellent food and service. The Yara chefs pride themselves on their passion for serving our guests with stunning dishes of Lebanese and Syrian specialities.
The restaurant is intimate and welcoming, split over two floors, with a warm and traditional feel.
At Yara, you are free to bring your own wine where our corkage is only £1. We also stock a wide range of Lebanese wines and beers, including Chateau Musar (red), and St Thomas (red, white and rose), as well mainstream beers such as Heineken, Grolsch and Budweiser.
Due to its popularity bookings are essential, particularly at weekends, and we welcome any size of party, although a small service charge applies for tables over 6 people.
We'll be delighted to welcome you, please call us and reserve your table!
Parking is available on the street around the restaurant.

In a welcoming and comfortable informal warmth, an interesting and varied menu allows you to choose several attractive tapas style dishes with plenty of choice - good Syrian/Lebanese style, including great range of fish and vegetarian options. Good house wine, very hardworking, charming staff. A relaxing and cheering atmosphere, great place for family dinner.

I am a regular visitor to Yara, and have never had a bad meal. It is by far the best restaurant in Altrincham, it also has excellent service. I have introduced many friends to Yara who agree it is simply the best. Nice atmosphere with attentive staff. Always good service, interesting menu & tasty food. Top Class.

We ate here on Friday night with my husband and 2 friends. What a supberb place to eat, it has got to be one of the best restaurants in Altrincham. It's about time we got a place like this. We were greeted by very friendly waiter as soon as we walked in and shown to our table. The restaurant is very well designed and decorated, very relaxing and cosy. The food is EXCELLENT, we all had 3 courses and none of us could find anything negative to say about any of them. How many places can you go to and say that!!.....I would definitely recommend this restaurant, I would say that if you went once you would without a doubt be back again!!!!!!

I can't actually remember the last time I enjoyed a meal out as much as this! The food was absolutely delicious, house wine excellent, the place was spotless and the staff very knowledgeable.There is very few places better than here, highly recommended.

Six of us 'girls' spent my birthday at Yara last week and had a fabulous time. On booking the table I was told as it was a Wednesday night it wouldn't be busy, in fact it was absolutely heaving! The service was great, the food superb and plentiful and the bill was extremely reasonable due to BYO wine. All in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening and I would certainly return.
If there was one downside, it would have to be space. The tables are packed so tight it was very difficult to walk between them and you are so close to the neighbouring tables I'm not sure it would be the ideal place for an intimate dinner for two.

Came in on Saturday for a friend's birthday. Great food and service and we will all certainly be back. Only drawback is that when people wait for takeaways, because there is no waiting room, they end up standing over you as you eat.

We love Yara, the food is different in a good way and the service is exemplary. It would be nice if they could dim the lights a little for a more intimate experience. Biggest downside is you've got to book very early to get a Saturday night table.

Was recommended by a friend to make the journey to Altrincham and was not disappointed and well worth the journey. Had a variety of starters and main courses to share couldn't fault anything. Service and atmosphere excellent had to take home the Houmas! The best I have ever tasted. Will definitely be going again! and have recommended it to all my friends.

Recommended by my daughter's boyfriend. Never had Lebenese food before so wasn't sure what to order the waiter gave some sugestions and went with his advise. The sea bass was one of the best I have ever tasted and all the other dishes recommended were full of flavor and very tasty.
Cant wait to return well worth the journey.

My partner and I went to Yara this evening, we were lucky to get a table as it was very busy, even on a Tuesday night! The service was great and the food was fantastic, really well cooked and very flavoursome, we can't wait to go again.

Great to find a friendly, welcoming restaurant serving fantastic food. I had the Babaghanouj to start with pita, really tasty and a nice change from the usual hummus.
The main was one of the tasty dishes I've had in a long time, I fancied trying something I hadn't had before, so plumped for Maklubeh - Cooked rice smothered with fried aubergine, topped with chunks of tender lamb. It had obviously been freshly prepared and you could tell, also not an ounce of fat on the meat. Very filling though!
There is a great vibe in this place, its relaxed and friendly but best of all the food is cooked fresh and really tasty!

Found Yara on Onionring and went last night with a few friends, it was very busy with a good atmosphere, service was a little sporadic probably because it was so busy. Food was excellent, we all really enjoyed it, reasonable cheap house wine and it was decent.

Yara provided catering for a party I had and it was excellent. The food was better than what I have had in the Middle East and the staff were extremely attentive, courteous and happy to oblige with any request. I wish them much luck with their restaurant and can't wait to try their food again soon.

Eat at Yara on a busy evening but that didn't stop the service being excellent and the food was fantastic . Being a Veggie there was lots of choice .only complaint was the table wasn't big enough for all we got !! Delicious Food .

Went to Yara on Friday night, we were lucky enough to get the upstairs window table, the food was amazing, definitely try the falafel and spicy sausage! Staff were super efficient and its a very loud, fun atmosphere so not for those looking for a quiet night! Brilliant for a night out with friends and you can take your own booze. Will definitely go again.

Fantastic, lovely authentic middle eastern food, great staff and atmosphere. best advice is take your own wine and make sure you book, this place gets busy.
If there is a downside its that its quite noisy so not really a romantic setting, but for us its all about the fantastic food.

Great food and service. Took our own wine. Ordered a combination of starters to share. Would definitley recommend this restaurant. We will be going back very soon but will phone and book a table next time as we just got in on a Friday night.

Love middle-eastern food and loved this place. Both the food and service were excellent. Very reasonably priced and you can take your own wine etc which isn’t bad. Plenty of choice on the menu and there are still lots of dishes I’d like to try. I’m sure my wife and I will be back.

It is an excellent middle eastern restaurant (although few of the staff appear to be Lebanese) The food and ambience are first class and you are not overcharged for a bottle of Chateau Musar.
