By far and away the best curry house outside of the Midlands. Consistently excellent and a firm favourite of mine for many a year. Prices have increased slightly with the recent makeover but still definitely worth a visit (try the chicken tikka Karahi)

This is the best Indian restaurant around for miles. I usually pop in after a late night in the office for a takeaway, but will certainly be eating in the restaurant soon. Excellent food and very accommodating staff.

Six of us,(three generations), were warmly welcomed on this our first visit based on a recommendation. The smart staff were friendly and attentive throughout without being obtrusive. The food itself was superb. One of the best Indian meals we have eaten. Everything was so fresh and well presented. The king prawns were in a league of their own so large and succulent. The beef so tender. Dining at the Shandaar is an experience not to be missed.

been here a few times now and never been disappointed. i always have the karahi which comes, as it should, in a sizzling clay pot - unlike some indian restaurants. definitely recommended.

The first night was a bit chaotic with no menus and no draft lager, ever since the food and service has been great. The restaurant is fresh and airy. Certainly the best Indian in this area.
