Beef Grill and Bar, formally known as What’s Cooking? Heswall recently rebranded in January. Beef Grill and bar unfortunately could not keep the famous What’s cooking? name but most certainly do deliver with the food produced.
With head chef Dean Lewis running the show in the Kitchens, Graeme Matthews (Manager), Jaymi Lincoln (Assistant Manager) and the rest of the waiting on and bar staff proving to be a strong service team in the centre of Heswall!
With a large revamped menu available and offers on all through the week there is a little something for everyone. They even have a kids play room available to keep the little ones amused.
Whether it’s for food, a drink in the bar area, or even a cocktail in the sun (which is 2-4-1 all weekend at any time). Beef grill and bar is a fantastic addition to the Heswall area, a thoroughly enjoyable meal/evening out with friends or family!

We weren't sure what to expect from the outside, as it looked more of a cafe/sandwich eatery. On looking at the menu outside we decided to give it a go. There was loads of choice on the menu and we shared a combo starter and a burger each for main.
The food was fab - burgers tasted delicious and really homemade, good choice of potato accompaniment, massive portion of salad with choice of dressings. We were stuffed at the end and had enjoyed every mouthful!
On top of this, the staff were really friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble, service was quick and the atmosphere was relaxed.
Although Whats Cooking is about a 30-40 min journey from home, we'll definately be making the effort to go again.
