Good, honest home cooked food served in a beautiful country setting.
The Inn, built around 1700 was once the local watering hole for the Peckforton Estate. Resting on the edge of the Cheshire plain and at the foot of Beeston Castle in one of the most beautiful settings is the Shady Oak.
Just four feet from the Shropshire Union Canal we enjoy magnificent views across Peckforton Castle and the Sand Stone Trail.
The extensive menu includes a number of specials which vary week to week. There are usually up to 20 more dishes on the board including permanent fixtures being 8oz Scotch fillet with Homemade Chips tomato and mushroom £14.95, and 8oz Sirloin with same garnish £11.95.
The menu is also reviewed regularly, so to incorporate the best of the season.
We dedicate our service to all who enjoy Fine Ale, Wine & Good Food.
Our caravan and camping site is now open! Overnight mooring for boats, free of charge when using facilities.
Please note that during the summer months (April-Oct) the pub is open all day (12-11pm).
