The Stag's Head is a breath of fresh air in the overcrowded pub dining sector. It actually manages to pull off the rare thing of doing both well! Whether its a pint at the bar or dinner with family and friends this is the place.

Went to The Stag for my mums 'special' birthday, 7 of us. As soon as we walked in we were made to feel at home,lovely ambience and roaring fires all set the mood. All the staff are fantastic and the food was great. Really a lovely experience.I will definately be recommending 'The stag' to friends.You must go!

What started as a hack round on the horses and a quick drink at the stag as we've done before turned into lunch sat outside with the horses and the dogs. Water provided (and apples for the horses) we were made to feel extremely welcome and it made our hack out into a fabulous lunch trip out. Thanks very very much

After only discovering The Stag thus summer after living in the area for a number of years I am very impressed with this place. Good food, drink, service and atmosphere there seems to be nothing lacking with its child and pet friendly policy it has become our number one choice for food and drink. The whole of my family enjoy this friendly, relaxed and professional establishment - I will certainly be returning!

Went to this pub with my kids. It is a great location, and outside felt like we were on holiday. Food went down well with all of us too. Recommend a visit to all, as there is something for everyone! Keep up the good work!

My huband & I took our 3 year old son and 2 Yorshire Terriers to The Stag for dinner last Tuesday; which happened to be Champagne night!! We are so impressed with our experience. It was so child friendly with a grassy area, swings & £5 kids meals. We sat outside on the large patio where my husband enjoyed his Hedgehopper & I participated in the Champagne special. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming & accomodating. The food was superb with local produce. We highly recommend The Stag & will be returning shortly!!

We recently held my husbands birthday party at the Stags Head and had the most incredible day. Maybe not everyones first choice, but behind that red brick exterior is a fantastic little pub in a beautiful setting. Its recently been renovated but hasnt lost any of its character.
It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and the outdoor seating area that has recently been added was the perfect setting. We opted for a barbeque and the food was fantastic. The manager Jane and her staff couldnt have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
We have been back a few times with friends for dinner and the food has always been great. I would also recommend The Stags Head for an early doors drink (always full of interesting people) but stay and eat you wont be disappointed.

I visited The Stag on a Friday night, and had a wonderful experience there. The staff were pleasant as soon as you walked in and the candles were lit with a very cosy atmosphere! Perfect country pub with roaring fires, the food was exceptional I had a gorgeous risotto, all home made and so tasty! All in all a brilliant pub and I shall definitely be visiting again!

My friend and I had a lovely afternoon sat out in the garden with a cold drink and two different but wonderful risotto's for our lunch cooked by the Italian chef My friend had a gorgeous salmon risotto and I chose the mushroom and roast vegetable option yum yum. I'm not a vegetarian myself but some friends who are often disappointed at the vegetarian options but they would be delighted with this dish and I've recommended they visit the Stag.

We are still talking about our lunch at the Stag 3 weeks later so will be going back for more soon and highly recommend it -good opening hours, friendly staff, great food and a pleasant location. go and see for yourself
