The Monro
British, Mediterranean
Welcome to The Monro - When we opened friends told us that it's tough getting your hands on really good, genuine food & drink in our city. Harsh but fair in the 1990s, but the last decade has changed all of that. We've earnt some serious accolades, both national and regional, amongst media and the general public.
It's been very satisfying that people now refer to us as a champion of what we do, Gastro. From day one, we always tried to be a contender. Some say it's true that in the restaurant market you have to rely on luck to have a rewarding time.
At the Monro, just rely on our attitude and dedication in serving you with the best in class. We hope you'll be inspired to be our regular guest if you're not already. Enjoy.

i have been eating at the monroe for a few years now and feel i should advise a visit here the food is beautiful were the menus change seasonally i have never had a bad meal there, very relaxing and comfortable atmosphere the staff are lovely i cannot fault it , a two course lunch will set you back about 11.95 and worth every penny. they also hold special evenings for wine tasting with desserts. if you are a visitor to liverpool try it its not far from liverpool 1 shopping area.

Recently, 10 of us went to the Monro in Duke St. What a great night out! The pub itself is not huge but can accomodate a fair number of people in the bar area and another couple of rooms. As it was 6pm we were offered the early bird menu which gave us a good choice of starters and main courses for £13.95. The food was excellent and the service was spot-on. There is also a good selection of cask beers. Happy days!

We met friends in Liverpool who introduced us to this place. We had the lunch time special menu at £11:99 per head for two courses. The food was excellent and served by enthusiastic and helpful waitresses. This was washed down with some tasty real ales from a selection of 4-5 on tap.

I am a regular customer at the Munro because it serves consistently good food at a reasonable price and in my experience with excellent service in a relaxed but bustling environment. My wife and I chose the Munro for an afternoon meal on the 16th December with 24 friends and family to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary, it had to be right!
We had a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon without exception our guests enjoyed the food, the company the environment and the service was superb. The lovely staff coped with everything thrown at the with a smile and complete efficiency.
It lived up to and exceeded my expectations we will certainly continue to visit regularly and judging from the comments of both friends and family the Munro have a new set of customers!
Thank you for making the day both enjoyable and Special I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for any occasion, they will make it work..
