Steve Manchester
How come this place isnt full to the brim?!?
We ate here after finding it on Onionring looking for places to try & the food was out of this world, its up there with the Midland Hotel in Manchester in my opinion!
We were given a bread board with 3 types of bread with butter & a few dips which was some of the best ive eaten in a long time! To start i had the welsh rarebit souffle with picalilli & it was full of flavour & so moreish i probably could have eaten another one! My main course of duck with spring cabbage & sour cherry was again full of flavour the meat of the duck pink like it was blushing! the sour cherry was a bright pink syrup that was so punchy it balanced the rich sauce & sweet meat perfectly! i finished with a custard panna cotta with vimto glazed berries & this was a perfect balance of sweet, sharp & creamy, the whole menu showed the kitchen here has great imagination & some serious cooking skills!! i cant wait to go back, i urge everyone in bolton to go here you lucky, lucky people
