Great place for a drink and to admire the river in a lovely pub with a modest but reasonable selection of beer and ale. In terms of food I would recommend a light snack at lunch time as it is not really a gastro pub. Steak is reasonably well cooked but food is generally expensive and a little dissapointing for the location. E.g. for chicken goujons think three chicken Mc Nuggets.
The Service however is quite reasonable for the UK..You can spot the motivational slogans by the kitchen door but expect to ask for things like a steak knife and another drink and what to eat and drink. On the positive side however the staff are polite and helpful when approached.
