Thomas launched in 2010 and put both a new spin and upped the ante on restaurants in the Northern Quarter. Brought to you by the people behind both Cord and the Bay Horse & Soup Kitchen the menu is a collection of everyone’s favourite dishes and drinks with an emphasis on mouth watering flavours, quality and value for money.
The striking interior sees half the first floor cut away providing a dramatic mezzanine with a double height glass façade pushed back into the space creating a clever outside/inside space.
More recently the laid back top floor Club Room was launched providing a perfect space for private hire and functions.
It has proved a huge success in the Northern Quarter winning City Life’s “Best Newcomer” award last year.

Cocktail Academy
Every Saturday at Thomas, learn how to make 5 classic cocktails in our clubroom, then experience our leisurely lunch menu for only £30.00 per person. Prior booking required as limited availability (between 1-3pm) with a maximum of 15 places per academy. Corporate bookings of 12 will be given a complimentary glass of fizz with dinner.

Where to start? It was perfect in every way. Stylish, relaxing, fantastic service, tasty food and great value. This restaurant ticks all the boxes.
We went early before a gig. I ordered the seafood linguini and the missus had a pork lion. Will definitely return.

Went to Thomas' last Wednesday evening with my husband and two friends. This was our third visit and we had a groupon voucher for 3 courses and a cocktail. As on the two previous occasions we had a great evening. From the moment we walked in we were greeted by very friendly waiting staff. We were then shown to our table and immediately given the menu. The waiter then got our cocktail while we were choosing our food. We all had different things and every dish was delicious, our friend said it was the perfect meal and we had to agree with him! The service was excellent which is a big part of dining out, being made to feel like they actually want you there. The food was fabulous. We had a great bottle of wine and the ambience was perfect.We eat out a lot in Manchester but Thomas' is our favourite. Can't wait to go back.

We were squeezed in without a booking on Saturday night. Having been advised that we may have to wait 20minutes to order as they had a couple of large parties in, we actually enjoyed a friendly, and efficient service, and no waiting.
The menu is not exhaustive, yet the food was excellent. We enjoyed a delicious goats cheese starter, and each had a risotto. Clean plates all round The wine was good and chilled to perfection.
I had eaten the night before in another Manchester restaurant, one with an apparently excellent reputation. The previous evenings cuisine had been disappointing, however Thomas Restaurant was charming, and the food did not disappoint. We would definitely return here.

My wife and I visited Manchester to see our son's graduation, we were walking around the city's Northern Quarter when we chanced upon this wonderful glass fronted building. After a couple of cocktails outside in the sunshine, we were tempted by the menu and decided to get a table inside. We sat in these lovely modern sofas and were told that we could choose 2 courses for a very reasonable £12.95, my wife had the confit of pork followed by the haddock risotto, and i chose the devilled chicken livers follewed by the pork belly. It really was delicious, all was cooked perfectly with the right balance of seasoning. Unfortunatley we're not local, or we would certainly be back here time and time again!
