Piccolo has been created with the sole purpose of bringing the real taste of Italy in to a small corner of South Manchester with our food and our venue.
Established in Gatley, a small friendly village in Cheadle Stockport, we chose a beautiful 250 year old building to create our restaurant with an atmosphere so delightful and warm that our customers regularly comment; "we feel like we are on holiday".
We would love to invite, as well as Gatley, residents from Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Heald Green, Handforth, Styal and Didsbury to come and try our food & service and soak up Piccolo's friendly atmosphere and ambiance. We are situated in the middle and surrounded by these villages, virtually a 10 minutes drive.
We provide our customers with high quality food by using the best ingredients, prepared with love and an unsurpassed passion.
With a legendary warm ambiance and friendly atmosphere in our dining room, combined with the amazing food served from our kitchen and Live Music on Friday & Saturday nights, dining at Piccolo is a memorable experience for all.

Live Music Nights
Friday and Saturday Nights at Piccolo is our Live Music Night with a range of Jazz, R&B, Swing and Latin & South American music on different nights. We have amongst some of the best Musicians and Artists who are our resident entertainment acts. Our second visit.
Both times have been great.
First time it was a family birthday so they had to deal with a party of 20 without any problems. We had a great night with good food and a lovely atmosphere and most important no rush.
Second time we took 2 friends who had already eaten there and none of us were disappointed.

Great family Italian restaurant in a lovely location, with an excellent menu which seems to suit all tastes, and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly. Great place to take the kids. If you would like a certain dish, just ask, I am sure they will cater for your needs. We have enjoyed every visit to this restaurant over the last 12 months whether it has been in the afternoon or in the evening and I am certain that we will continue to visit this excellent venue, and can highly recommend a visit. We had a fantastic meal on Christmas eve, Rib eye steak cooked to perfection, the cod and mash dish my wife had was outstanding and she doesn't even eat fish! We had a great New Year's eve in Piccolo's which was enjoyed by myself, my wife and our 12 year old daughter and lots of people from near and far who all seemed to have a great night, Thanks to all the staff. We cannot wait for our next visit!

We went with a large group to have a Christmas lunch, following recommendations from some of our group, who had been before.
The venue is an old chapel, which has been beautifully converted and decorated. The decor is tasty, but does not dominate the relaxed athmosphere and the internal division creates an athmosphere of coziness and privacy.
The service is friendly, relaxed with a wink in the eye, which adds to the great athmosphere.
Christmas lunch and dinner is from a special menu, but the portion were well sized, prepared when ordered and served piping hot and perfectly timed. The food was delicious, the meat cooked to perfection, the pasta well seasoned, and cooked just right, the soup a delight.....as for the dessert, we may have cleared them out of tiramisu - it was so nice. :-)
The price level at 19.99 for three courses was well worth it. I will definitely be back with my husband.

Our daughter and son-in-law moved into their first home together in Gatley last week and we all ate Saturday lunch at Piccolos after seeing their new home. Loved the atmosphere, service, food, wine and especially the limoncello! Three of us ate main courses from the full menu and one of us ate from the special small plates lunchtime menu. We had some delicious olives to start and all four meals were excellent - the two small plates were anything but small and proved outstanding value. The cod and steak were exceptionally good quality and very reasonably priced.
Intend to go back - especially for their jazz evening! As it's a short walk from our daughter's new home I know her husband and she will become regulars and we will definitely eat there when we visit them....... now we know a restaurant of this quality is on the door step there's even more reason to visit them!
