Apotheca Bar opened in Manchester City Centre in November 2008 and is situated in a listed building in the creative Northern Quarter district adjoined to Dough.
The name comes from the antique pharmacy cabinets, which grace the front bar that were originally used to provide medicinal relief in the form of a remedy. These apothecary draws are now home to a variety of distilled tinctures and elixirs once again providing a cure in perhaps a more sociable setting.
Apotheca Bar offers drink connoisseurs an unrestricted and constantly changing selection of beers, wines and spirits. Apotheca's unique tinctures, elixirs and potions drinks menu pays homage to its name sake. With a contemporary take on an old medicine store this classic bar has already become a regular haunt for creative individuals.
Due to public outcry (well mainly people constantly mithering us) We've broadened our horizons for your mastication, so now we offer for your tastebud enlightenment and entertainment. Our Dough pizza options are also still available.

At Apotheca we teach people to the culinary art of making cocktails. Apotheca cocktail school takes you on a journey to the world of amber nectar. Hear a little about the history of cocktails, followed by a brief introduction to the different methods for making cocktails. Finally the real fun starts as you trade places with your teacher to make your own creations. Feel free to gather a group of friends (min 5 – max 15) and reserve a session.
