Karen from Bolton (18/03/2010) says.... We recently visited The Heathercliffe Hotel in February. The Hotel is located in beautiful countryside and is reached along a country lane; it is however well signposted. The grounds are well cared for with ample parking. We arrived to a very warm welcome from the staff on duty. The entrance and two open lounges are very comfortable and relaxing. We had drinks and coffee in the lounge, my coffee was refilled at no extra charge. The Hotel has free WiFi which I connected to with no problem at all. I was very impressed with our bedroom which had a lovely en-suite bathroom. I have to say this is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I have ever slept in! I particularly loved the detail to period features in the room. All the amenities you would expect were available eg TV with magazine, tea & coffee facilities and very nice toiletries in the bathroom. Coming down to dinner in the evening we were welcomed and shown to the Dining room. The scene was set by the very knowledgeable waitress, beautiful linen and glassware on the table. We dipped into the special menu, 3 courses for £10 and also the main menu and our bill was adjusted accordingly. I am still amazed at the quality of the food for the price we paid, it really was exceptional and I have no hesitation in making a recommendation. We both opted for the Full English Breakfast, brilliant, not a hash brown or beans in sight! There was also self service choice of juice, fruit salad, cereals, croissants, muffins and rolls. We had a very enjoyable stay and will certainly be returning.

The service and meal were really good, but there were only 4 of us eating in the dining room. We went for the 4 course menu at £25 per head, plenty of choices on each course. Would go again.
Andy (22/08/2008) says.... We have recently stayed overnight at the Heathercliffe Hotel and both the food and service was second to none. Every member of staff we came into contact with was extremely friendly and very professional. The food was first class, particularly the steak and accompaniments. Whilst we were waiting for our starter the waiter brought out delicious homemade bread, olives and dips. I would highly recommend the Heatherclife Hotel for anyone looking for a first class experience. Thanks to the Heathercliffe Hotel for a lovely weekend.

Heathercliffe Country House Hotel (13/06/2006) says.... RE: Review by Derek, Frodsham on 11/6/06 Dear Onionring For a professional organisation that relies totally on the degree of service and level of satisfaction, always prepared to listen to constructive criticism, it always comes as something of a disappointment when customers are unable, for whatever reason, to indicate their dissatisfaction at the point of delivery giving opportunity for establishments to correct any perceived shortcomings. Whilst websites like you own are to be congratulated in providing a platform whereby the public can air their dissatisfaction, and in so doing help to improve standards in the leisure industry, they inevitably spawn an ease of anonymity for customers who do not appreciate that establishments like the Heathercliffe can only make a positive contribution to correcting mistakes at the point of delivery rather than a belated apology which by its very nature benefits neither party. Where we have not maintained the highest standards that our customers expect of us then without equivocation we will always seek to redress the position but without specific comments and after a delay we find that very difficult other than to apologise unreservedly! In an effort to show our continued pursuit for excellence we have no problem with this review being shown on your website however, would hope that in an effort to show balance that you would also show this response?
