Superb night. Best Indian restaurant in Stockport.
Great service and food.

fantastic! another visit to this superb restaurant we had a party of 9 this time and all had different meals,we thought we would of been a challenge to the chef but NO he pulled it off once again.we all had a superb evening the food were A1 once again fresh, hot and perfect! the pepper mill still cracks us up! once again many thanks to the staff for making our evening very pleasurable and compliments to the chef ;)

We have eaten here a few times since it opened and have really enjoyed the experience. The food is excellent and the staff are very friendly attentive. We normally eat early because it always gets very busy later on, which is a good sign. I well addition to Romiley.

Doesn't look like much from the outside, and not advertised at all, but I was very suprised with the quality of the food, the interior, the staff friendliness and the general authenticity of the place. It's literally like being in Italy when you go up the stairs

Great place! Have been coming here for years, lovely staff, fab food, well-priced, really family-friendly (do be aware there are stairs though)- they really deserve your custom, whether it's for a midweek bite or a special occasion with all generations.

I have been going to the Indigo since day 1 2001, I have also been to many places including restaurants in Poynton, Hazel Grove, Bollington etc. But I can not compare anyone with food & service of Indigo. The food is fresh and authentic, the curries have less oil, and tasty. The price is reasonable. If anyone willing to try go on a Tuesday night when they have a deal £9.00 per person (make sure you book) always busy.
I am very pleased that the Restaurant has WON, The curry Oscar, 'The Spice Times Restaurant Awards 2010 - THE BEST LOCAL, Stockport' and 'Healthy Heart Award 2010/ 2011'. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves a good curry.

Absolutely fantastic!! We've lived in Romiley for 4 years now and have eaten at Indigo at least twice a month since we moved here. The staff are, without a doubt, fabulous; the food is amazing; great ambience and a wonderful experience every time. We definitely recommend the lamb tikka byriani with madras sauce and lazeze garlic chicken. Other dishes to try are samba chicken, and the ankali. All absolutely devine. You won't find a better restaurant. Be sure to book though as they get very busy. We love it!! Jayne and Alec :-)

My few experiences at the Italian have been truly sensational! I almost always have the same dish when I go there, and that is the lovely pasta dish: Pasta alarabiatta, a spicy cheesy dish. The Italian in Romiley has to be one of the best restaurants i have been to.
The lovely service helps as well!

Wow, what a night we are always remembered on our return Ferdinando is very unassuming we love the real Italian/Neapolitan food a real taste of the south I think the cheapest Italian for miles with a real chef from Naples no more visits to any chain restaurants for me this is a real family affair.

Good food, good service, and a very relaxing atmosphere. I would not hesitate recommending to anyone and in my opinion one of the best.

The best curry in the area by far - never had a bad one - apart from my partner ordering me a takeaway with a full egg in it once - YUK - but that was only as I hate eggs - love this place & highly recommend it to all!

The family have been going to the Indigo for years. Never had a bad curry or a bad takeaway. We recommend you visit.

I went with my friends on a Saturday night, it was very busy i knew that and that's why i booked in advance so i could get a table. Any way the service is excellent like always i was recommended a lamb shank by one of the smart and polite waiter with an ear ring on, when i had it it was so nice and tender and tasted great a real treat. And i have been told they do the lamb shank only on Friday and Saturday so give it a try.

Basic menu but good quality food for a reasonable price. Excellent service and a really good, homely atmosphere.

probably the best Indian restaurant in stockport,the new menu is excellent with lots of fish and vegetarian dishes. The lamb shank and the fish curry (machli tarkhari) was divine. Excellent food, quality service, friendly staff and a lovely restaurant, Rating 10/10. You must try.

Cannot believe the reviews I have read, I took my wife on Saturday evening and very very disappointed. We were met at the door by a very sullen waiter and asked if we needed a table for two then left there wondering if they had space for us for five minutes, fianlly we were seated and given menus and ordered drinks.
The drinks were prompt and our order was taken when we were ready, however, the starters service was very slow, when they arrived my stuffed mushrooms were bland in the extreme, my wifes lamb chops were reasonably prepared but swimming in oil. When it came to the mains, again slow service, we were about to ask for the bill and leave when they arrived, both dishes extremely bland, we can both say without doubt this was the most tasteless asian food we have ever eaten. One thing is for sure, we shall not return, very poor.

This is an excellent Indian,the portions are generous,the food is very tasty,and service is good also.Used to be a curry mile addict,but this local restaurant makes it not worth the travel to Rusholme,where we have had poor meals in the past. Tuesday Night Special, 3 courses for £8.50 for pick of most of the menu,is very good in this credit-crunch time,have to pay with cash though,so don't forget! Cash machines in vicinity. Advisable to book,especially for Tuesdays.

I go to the indigo every week more or less.No need to go to the curry mile when you have this place on your doorstep.I agree totally with all the positive comments made.Added to those comments the customer service is as good if not probably better than any i have encountered previously.

traditional italian- menu is not extenensive- but what they do cook is great- the best pizza bases anywhere, lovely atmosphere, great food, just hope it doesn't change.

Living in Romiley ive eaten at indigo many times and i cannot fault it at all; great food, great selection, great prices and great staff. What more can i say!

As what is said above this Restaurant is FANTASTIC!!!! I have never tasted anything like it. I have tried all the curry house's in Marple, New Mills, Disley and Stockport but this one is by far the best. Also on there Menu it has a lot of dishes that are not listed on any other curry house's menu. I would rate this place 10/10 easy :)

Not to put too fine a point on it, this restaurant is Fantastic!!!!!!!!!
We've been here dozens of times and travel from Wigan to eat here.
The menu is very varied and even the dishes which are supposed to be very hot are deliciously smooth and palatable, unlike some other establishments who basically chuck loads of chillis in and thats your lot.
Bookings are essential as the restaurant is packed most weekends due to the high quality of food and service and the waiters and owner are all top guys.
Don't waste your money elsewhere, go to the Indigo, you won't be disappointed !!! The chef is a genious.
