Ariete in St.Helens visited by Widnes (12/01/2013) says....

Love this restaurant! Have been twice and always greeted with an authentic Italian charm. The steak here is lush and the pizzas are perfect - thin, crispy and full uof flavour! Managed to have a little room to try the house special cream brûlée and it was lovely. I'd definitely go again! the pizzas are perfect - thin, crispy and full uof flavour! My Husband and myself went to Ariete last night, we have been before but many years ago. Can't believe we had not gone back sooner. The food was excellent and the service was great.

great venue, love a bit of history and on my doorstep as well. Enjoyable food, consistently good but don't go as often as I'd like to. More gluten and dairy free options please!

After a terrible experience leading to the writing a very negative review, we had a conversation with the owners of the restaurant, and everything was put right. A massive leap in the right direction - a personal telphone number of the owners, with the invitation to speak directly with them and explain the problems, each of which have been eradicated. What excellent treatment. We are looking forward to returning again and again to this restaurant, which was a firm favourite. Thanks to the handling of our complaint by the owners, it shall be again. It is wonderful to know, in these days of automation and facelessness, we can actually speak directly with the people who are willing and able to put things right. Very well done Cabrelli Family...

Visited here last night for a birthday meal (have been twice before but some time ago). We had the most fabulous meal, absolutely delicious. We share an anti-pasto and then both had pasta with giant prawns. Just can't tell you how good it was! The anti-pasto was the best we've ever had and the pasta divine! Too full for a pudding each so shared a tiramisu - also fab! This together with a bottle of house Merlot and a salad for under £50! We'll be back again soon.

Colours in St.Helens visited by David Turner (16/02/2008) says....

I booked a table at Colours for the first time a few months ago. We have tried almost every restaurant in St. Helens and I noticed Colours on Onionring and thought I would give it a go. It is the best restaurant I have ever been to. On a Saturday it is 5 courses for £21. The ingredients used in the dishes we had must have topped £21. We had lobster ravioli, Fillet steak, Chocolate souflee, Sorbet, a lovely homemade veg soup and sea bass with king prawns. These are some of the things I got and some my girlfriend got. It is part of the college so it is reasonable as the students are being teached. All the waiters are learning so you gt full silver service. Its ace! Please try this place. You wont regret it.

Great value for money and food that excels more expensive resaurants I have dined in, I shall definately return. The staff were friendly and treated you like a V.I.P. The atmosphere was really nice and made me feel rather calm. Highly recommended, I give it a well deseved 10/perfect!

Larkin's in St.Helens visited by Bob Hill (26/06/2007) says....

Larkins is a privately owned Family Restaurant, but don't let this fool you, the cuisine is home made and quite delicious and the ambience is realy homely and welcoming...the staff are superb and always attentive, we as a family have eaten there on numerous occasions and have never had a bad meal yet. Lovely friendly place...lovely food, at very reasonable prices, what have you to lose?
