Myself & our kids have been eating at the Midland for years & would always give it 10 out 10, we have never had a bad meal. I have used them many times to cater for parties at our home. For the 1st time we decided that we would have Xmas day there, there was 11 of us, they made it such a special day, the food was incredible & service was perfect.

Great place, very friendly staff, great with my son when he comes with us. Lots of veggie options, the Balti Aloo Gobi is excellent, large portions too. Would recommend to anyone especially families with small children.

Another fantastic meal here, can't do enough for you and consistantly good food; a sign of a great restaurant.

Popular and often busy local restaurant, we were in at 7pm on a Sunday evening and there were over twenty people there already. The food is very good and service excellent.

Had another meal at Midland Balti yesterday, it is by far the best Indian restaurant in Sale (and most other places). Normally opt for the Shimla (sooo hot!) but decided to try something different; the Rezalla - it was great! Cannot recommend this enough!

We have been a few times & always loved it. Ace food & service! Where else do you get a courtesy brandy & a bailey's for the missus with your bill!
Sale Moor
After walking past this restaurant on a regular basis we luckily one day decided to venture in, and aren't we pleased that we did. The staff, service and most of all the food are the nicest around after the infamous curry mile. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough.

I live in Sale Moor Village and visit the Midland Balti on a regular basis - I am a curry lover and have been here lots of times (too many to count) and have never ever had a bad meal or a bad experience. I find the staff extremely helpful, the Chef is superb as is his food - I would say the best, the price is reasonable and you are never rushed or have to wait around for the bill. At the end of the meal you get complimentary orange, a brandy or a baileys and a rose for the lady. How perfect is that. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to all. xx

I have visited the infamous Midland Balti only a couple of times, but can hardly wait until I am back in Sale Moor so I can visit again. I have been there on recommendation of my girlfriend, who lives quite close buy who, along with her Mother, visit the Midland Balti very regularly. I believe they even visited on Christmas day such is their love for the place. I have been very impressed by the quality of food, which is always flavoursome. The waiters were also helpful in explaining some aspects of the varied many that I was unfamiliar with. The extra touch of hot towels, oranges and a free tipple at the end, not to mention a Rose for the ladies, is very welcome and not something I have experienced before. All of this certainly makes we want to go back, and I shall. Going down the road and rubbing gravel in my hair is no longer an option when you have the Midland Balti! Thanks.

We always have a lovely meal there, & the waiters are the so respectful & helpful! We wouldnt go to another Indian. It is brilliant!

Luckily I hadn't read these reveiws before trying this restaurant or I would never had gone in. The menu is really authentic, not like the run of the mill indian restaurants, the food was fantastic and presentation beautiful. The service was friendly and efficient, the chef came out to ask what we thought. Even the 'locals' were friendly. All eateries can have a problem with 'undesireables'and it's very hard for waiters to deal with this when there aren't police close by for back up. I live in Sale and eat locally quite often and have never found this a major problem. The bottom line is that the food here is second to none and we were all very impressed.

I'd like to point out in regard to the two reviews... not all the locals are bad!! I live a minutes walk away from the restaurant and never go in there drunk or with a group of friends. It's a certain calibre of local that lets the place down. All in all it is a nice restaurant, the food is good... however I would recommend to avoid the drunks from the pub and the 'chavs' from the estate a few minutes walk away, simply have a take away... this way you get to eat your food in your own surroundings!

I totally agree with the last review. Food was excellent. Freshly made onion bhajees and pakoras Friendly staff. Free drink at the end of meal also, a nice gesture we thought. ...all in all.. Great food, good service..poor locals..

The food here is reasonable, and the service is quite good. The problem I had last time I went, which was on a Friday evening, never again, is the choice of customers the management let in. At only 8 pm, my partner and I had a pair of drunk men on either side of us. They also allowed a group of younger people in, who I think who brought in their own cans of lager which they were trying to keep hidden in their coat pockets. Unfortunately they seemed to be friends with some group of youngsters outside the restaurant who shouted through the window and intermittently came wandering into the restaurant, the staff and management did absolutely nothing about this. To be part of a couple in these surroundings was very uncomfortable and has unfortunately put me off going again, which is a shame as it is ok food wise. Perhaps being located next to a pub requires a more selective door policy unless this is their target audience!
