We had a party of six people on 30.07.11. The food here is fantastic and the service matched it. Would definatly recoommend. Book first though as lots of people were getting turned away.

I must say I was quite surprised at how FANTASTIC the food and service was! I would definately dine here again with all my mates..

The location and presentation is just perfect, the atomsphere was excellent. Like the doorman in traditional clothes added a nice desi touch, what a asian restaurant needs. Also love seeing the girls in asian outfits everytime we go, they looking stunning!!!

the location and presentation is just perfect!!!
we have been many times but the best was when we celebrated our 6th month anniversary, we told them and they presented us with a free ice cream desert in a heart shape with a sparkler, it was lovely
The food is gorgeous, staff are friendly

Having been impressed with the Riverside restaurant previously we decided to try this restaurant before heading to watch City play (5-1 win too!!).
Popadoms and cutneys are not to be missed... freshly made popadoms and a choice of 7 chutneys. Finally someone doing this well!! Mains were delicious and naan huge (it comes on a stand hanging next to you). Service friendly and efficient - overall a great dining experience.

The first time I visited the restaurant I was really impressed! Great food which is tasty, light and fresh together with great service at fairly reasonable prices. The only problem I have is each time I go back I fear it won't be as good as I remember, however i'm please to say i'm never disappointed and the experience always lives upto what I hope for. very highly recommended, you guys keep it up and i'll keep coming back.

East Z East has probably the best decor of many Manchester restaurants, the food is fresh although flavour and taste is average. Its atmosphere is very good, the staff are helpful and polite (although not polite to each other). I visit usually twice a month. It also has Asian female staff, and im not being picky but ive never seen this before ever in a restaurant.

I had heard good things about the food here and decided to book for my birthday, we were a party of ten. Most of us are members of the Hi-Life diners club and when we mentioned this at the time of booking we were told that we could use all 4 of our cards for the discount - 2 for 1 on up to 3 courses if you are not familiar with Hi-Life. The food was certainly better than your average Indian and we all enjoyed our food. It wasn't until the bill that our experience turned sour. When the bill came, they didn't deduct our discount as expected. After complaining, they deducted 1 meal, after complaining again they deducted a second, but they would not give us the full discount for 4 cards that was confirmed at the time of booking!!! The food was still good value and the staff had been extremely friendly, it was just a shame that the manager would not honour the discount agreed at the time of booking.

We love every thing about this restaurant the service,food and atmosphere. we have visited the restaurant several times...the staff is very friendly and professional. To be honest we only come to this restaurant when its a special occasion, i.e anniversary. reason being is that this place makes the moment very memorable. Recommend all Asian food lovers to try it!!

After reading the reviews I was very keen to East z East. I must say the atmosphere was vibrant and the staff were polite and efficient, however the food was at best average. My party of 6 never commented on the food until we had left the restaurant. I found the the King Prawn Balti to be overly hot with little in the way of flavour. I get the impression the restaurant now caters for the after 12 market. It's a shame !

Went with friends 07.12.06. Good service generally and food good although I preferred Akbar on Liverpool Road. Excellent draught beer (Lal Toofan).

Superb decor and atmosphere, the service is fantastic and the presentation and quality of the food is exceptional. I have slowly worked my way through half the menu and intend to keep going back again and again to get through the remainder!!! Absolutely Superb!!!

Top class food, at very reasonable prices. Like Shimla Pinks but without the attitude! Service is always spot-on, and the restaurant is very comfortable. Excellent selection of dishes available (seriously recommend you try the paneer dishes!) and the staff know their stuff! Take away is also available, and the food is prepared to the same impeccable quality. P.S. the Garlic Naan is HUGE!
