Ate lunch here today, perfection. Last Wednesday I dined at the Ledbury in Notting Hill London which was voted no.14 best restaurant in the world, number 2 behind Heston Blumenthal in London, but food here today at Windmill was as good if not better! Monkfish, pancetta, pig cheek starter, chilli burger main, cheese selection to finish. 10 out of 10.

Really nice pub, friendly staff let us bring the dog in, grand kids were welcome and above all the food was really decent.

Liz, Altrincham

Lovely country pub surrounded by good walking and gorgeous scenery. Relaxed atmosphere - both family friendly and dog friendly - very busy but good 'smiley' service from staff. Food very plentiful, locally sourced and delicious. Sunday lunch was good value and will go back again to try other menus. Definitely worth a visit.

Peter Turner

Usually a Saturday lunch call for us after a morning walk. Went with friends Saturday evening and although very busy and down on staff numbers we had cheerful friendly service and the food was as good as ever. Steak, duck, lamb and sea bass gave us a good sample of the menu. All superbly tasty, attractively presented and sourced as locally as possible. Our friends are coming back to see us again soon and we've already booked in for the paella night.

Andrew from Poynton

We went to the Windmill because I'd heard the food was good. We prefere to eat smaller meals but more of them.........! We had 6 starters and they were first class. This was the evening and the menu prices reflect the quality of the food.
We couldn't fault any of the dishes. Do not go if you want economy 'pub grub'. The service of all the the staff was helpful and willing. This eatery is a hidden gem. Thank you for a lovely experience.

Sally Taylor Wilmslow

I think the food at the windmill is fantastic but my partner and I had a run in with the managment last year over poor service and vowed never to go again but after reading the reviews and finding out the pub is under new management and the service is better I will now look forward to going back.

Ian, East Preston

Visited from the canal (a short walk). Excellent food, good draught beer, comfortable seating, cheerful service.

Julian Gorst

Visted The Windmill for Sunday lunch. Excellent well cooked roast beef with all the trimmings helped down with a couple of pints of Bombadier!! Very reasonable bill for quality of food presented. Good, quick and attractive service provided by staff. Check out www.thewindmill.info

I thought the food, and service was first class, and recommended your restaurant to many of my friends. Well worth the drive out.

Kim Heath

Lovely pub, nice for just a drink or a meal too.
Great they let you take your dogs in in the bar area. Nice staff, food good but downside only ever one vegetarian choice on menu! Pls add some more!

Jan, Warrington

Excellent food and service. Will go again.

Adrian, Cheadle Hulme

My wife and I have spent several very pleasant evenings here over the last few months. This inn offers that very rare combination of excellent food with excellent friendly service - very impressive. Prices are very reasonable too. Highly recommended.

Amy, Bollington

we have been to the Windmill a couple of times over the last couple of months and have received excellent food and friendly service on every occasion, which is even better when 2 of the dates were Valentines and Mothers day. Great bar & restaurant highly recommended

Barbara, Wilmslow

I have just visited the windmill at i really cant believe the difference. The last time i visited almost 18 months agao, the servive was poor and i really didnt want to go back, however i did, and i am so pleased. The staff are great and the food is simply wonderful. Well done!!!

Wayne Prestbury

Fantastic food and atmosphere.
Would recommend to everyone!!
First Class

Ian Wilmslow

I recently visited the windmill and realised that the management had changed. I could tell this by the fantastic warm welcome i recieved. There was a new menu and the food was second only to the amazing service. Bravo!

Alec Oilberg, Wilmslow

We both had cod and lemon fishcakes - fantastic texture and taste, service very good, the only crit was the dining area was cold.

jessica, macclesfield

fab menu, been numerous times..most recently for lunch-lovely & imaginative sandwiches, but slow & sulky service lets this well refurbed 'gastro pub' down...smile at your customers (and we'll leave a tip!)
