Visited 19/03/13 for a meal before a show at the The Empire. Service was cheerful and very efficient and the food was excellent. Great value in pleasant surroundings. Perfect place if you need a pre-theatre dinner venue.

If I ever get asked where to go for dinner in Liverpool I will recommend this place. You get a great all round evening for food, drinks and entertainment.
We had a gorgeous meal in the private dining area. A starter of fresh prawns & chorizo, succulent lamb from the specials for main and a chocolate dessert to die for - all accompanied by fine wine! My husband's steak was immense but not for the fainthearted.
The service was friendly and the waiter, Andrew (I said I would name-drop!), certainly knew his stuff not only about the menu but the casino chain etc too.
After dinner we wandered upstairs to the funky cocktail bar which I would recommend to anyone looking to go for a few drinks.
We decided to top it all off with a few hands of poker whilst we were there, though it's not compulsory! Again, the staff and croupiers were all very helpful and friendly to the clear novices sat in front of them. The regulars didn't seem put off by the fact we had to ask a few questions as we went along either.
An all round brilliant night. Just wish I lived nearer!
