Authentic Spanish restaurant opens in Woolton

Under the promise of “Spanish food at Spanish prices”, Sabrosa is bringing the every-day local tapas bar feel to Woolton, Liverpool.

Owner of the restaurant, Eduardo Ibáñez from Castellón, was inspired to open the business after his experience in several farmers markets in Liverpool and the Wirral.

Eduardo says: “The opportunity to make and sell our own products in farmers markets in the area gave us an insight of the public’s demands and preferences in regards to Spanish gastronomy.

Sabrosa aims to recreate the essence of a Spanish local tapas bar for the English market, offering traditional, authentic Spanish food such as tapas and paella.

Eduardo elaborates: “The concept is to have a real, authentic small Spanish restaurant in the neighbourhood, with quality ingredients and in-house production at a very reasonable price.

Our menu includes a wide range of typical Spanish tapas and specialities, which to many of our customers reminds of the holidays or stay they’ve had in our country. We source our product from many denominations of origin in Spain, for example we import rice from Pego, smoked paprika from La Vera and extra virgin olive oil from Jaén.

Together with veteran chef Alicia - who moved from Castellón to take charge of the kitchen, Eduardo makes some of the products himself, such as chorizo sausage and croquetas.

Sabrosa is open from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on Saturday, closed on Sunday.

Why Woolton, Eduardo?

It’s an extraordinary place to live in the city of Liverpool, it’s a neighbourhood whose people
demand high quality services at a competitive price.
