Excellent food, friendly service, nicely decorated with lots of space for those with pushchairs.

Congratulations to the new management team at TFM! We were wondering how things might have changed with the restaurant changing ownership recently. But we need not have worried. Karen and I were looked after extremely well by Rose, our waitress, and we had an excellent 3-course meal tonight, followed by coffee in the lounge. A wide-ranging menu made it pleasantly difficult to choose what to have - but we opted for a starter of a trio of scallops with risotto each; mains of pork & apple sausages (mustard mash, cabbage, and honeyed apple too) and Chicken piri piri with home cut chips; followed up with desserts of treacle tart/cream and chocolate brownie/ice cream (the best brownies ever according to Karen. An excellent range of wines and ales on offer(Thwaites 3.6; Black sheep 3.8 and Speckeldy Hen (4.4?). And with a bill totalling less than £60 for two, we came away with warm fuzzy feeling, and some change left in our pockets. So well done all at the *new* Frozen Mop, long may you run!

lovely decor, food is nice but rather smallish portions, very tasty though.
