I have been highly delighted with the Pond Quay in Urmston but was a little disappointed when my friend and I went for a pre-theatre buffet. Although we had booked a table, the staff didn't know where to put us. It was difficult to attract people's attention to order drinks. The buffet itself was excellent although there were always about half the dishes missing. There was also a lack of cutlery! To cap it off we were overcharged. I may go again as the food we got was good quality but it would not be my first choice.

I visited this restaurant in July with my niece to celebrate her 18th Birthday. I am a regular customer here and had arranged for a large party to attend Pond Quay for the Buffet and two of the party are Coeliac, myself being one of them, I always eat here and they do Gluten Free takeaway too. I had arranged before hand with the manager to set up a set menu gluten free for myself and my Father and I must say they did not disappoint, the food was amazing and the service was first class as usual, but on this occasion it was 5 star, The rest of the party really enjoyed the buffet menu and said it was the freshest tasting buffet they had ever attended in Manchester. We would definitely recommend going back for future celebrations, especially as they do Gluten Free too and would like to say thanks to Pond Quay and well done for making the celebration a huge success!
