About Boat and Horses

The Boat & Horses was originally built in 1804, and was known as the Pleasure Boat Inn before receiving its present name in 1826. The construction of the M60 caused substantial damage to the foundations of the Boat & Horses and the pub was completely rebuilt in 1999.

Having had a full refurb in 2011, the Boat & Horses now has something for everyone, from our restaurant and carvery with family section and children's activity corner to football and sports in the 'vault' and adult-only bar area.

The team work very hard to ensure that the Boat & Horses is a warm and friendly pub that offers great food and drink served with a smile. We all look forward to seeing you soon.

Lovely relaxing Pub with a great atmosphere.Unfortunately we only stayed for a couple of drinks as we were going to the Velodrome. While there i lost my purse and didn't notice until much later. To my utter amazement when i returned someone had handed it in complete with contents . Thankyou to all the lovely staff on duty i am so grateful. If i could give you a score of one thousand i would
