El Gato Negro Available For Private Hire
Further to much demand, El Gato Negro has announced it is opening the top floor of its King Street restaurant for private hire.
Complete with its own bar and retractable roof, the location makes the perfect setting for unique and memorable occasions. The third floor space caters for up to 60 seated guests or 100 standing.
A bespoke approach will be taken to each booking. Services include full catering with guests treated to an extensive and substantial array of canapes and cocktails, live entertainment and business support. A dedicated team of hosts will also be on hand to facilitate each event.
Guests looking to host an exclusive affair can take advantage of the private entrance, providing discrete access away from the hustle and bustle of the main restaurant.
Speaking on the introduction of the service, Chef Patron Simon Shaw said: “Since opening we have been inundated with requests from people looking to host events here. We’re delighted to introduce the option of private hire to our top floor restaurant and look forward to welcoming guests.”
Adding to this, Events Director Helen Tucker said: “We really want to make each event hosted here unique and have a great team in place to offer the very best service. We invite anyone looking to host an event to get in touch and talk through their requirements with us.”
Prices vary subject to requirement and see a minimum spend of £5,000.
For those looking to celebrate a special occasion but are happy to share the space, El Gato Negro will also now cater for parties of up to 16 guests.

El Gato Negro has received critical acclaim since opening its doors in February 2016. The restaurant has since been crowned Newcomer of the Year at the 2016 Manchester Food and Drink Festival Awards and City Restaurant of the Year at the Lancashire Life Food and Drink Awards. Furthermore, the restaurant was listed in the National Restaurant Awards Top 100 in the UK alongside Manchester House and The French, and is the only Manchester restaurant to receive a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2017 – the special recognition was awarded to the restaurant for offering exceptionally good food, at moderate prices.
