Manchester’s Kahlúa Coffee House Announces Extension & New Collaborations

Due to popular demand, Kahlúa, the original Mexican coffee liqueur, today announces Kahlúa Coffee House, its first creative food and drink experience, located in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, is to extend its run and work in collaboration with bars across the city.

Inspired by the unique heritage of Veracruz, Mexico, Kahlúa Coffee House, a temporary takeover of the Market Restaurant at 104 High Street, features two floors of Mexican inspired coffee cocktails, food, free film screenings and free cocktail masterclasses.

Launched by local hospitality favourites Teacup on Thomas Street and cocktail masters The Liquorists, the vibrant venue opened on 29th March for a month but has proved such a big hit it’s now set to stay open for a second month, closing on the 26th May.

The hugely popular coffee and cocktail masterclasses with The Liquorists and Coffee Circle continue every Thursday, Friday and Saturday upstairs in the speakeasy style room, Salon de Kahlúa alongside the free film screenings on Thursdays at 8pm.

The Liquorists will be taking a break 9th-11th May, making way for guest bars from across the city to stage their own Salon de Kahlúa takeover. Hula, Epernay and Dusk Til Pawn are among the first bars to sign up to host (free) guest masterclasses. Plans are also underway for a special closing party on the final weekend (Sat 25th May) when Kahlúa Coffee House will be participating in Fiesta del Fuego (The Fire Party) collaboration - a raw and cooked chilli festival with competitions, games, bars and stalls, to be held on High Street.

Twitter followers are in for a treat as a host of special competitions, giveaways, promotions and special events will be offered exclusively to tweeters following @KahluaUK #Kahluacoffeehouse in the final month.

About 63 Degrees

The Moreau family invite you to share a taste of Paris, cooked with fresh, local ingredients.

In the Moreau family, we've always had a very French love of good food and sharing it with guests and friends. So it was both a big adventure and a great pleasure for us when we decided to open 63° and bring a taste of Paris, our home town, to Manchester.

63° is a friendly and intimate family run restaurant, where the food we cook is our personal expression of modern French cuisine, based on the very best, locally sourced, fresh ingredients, and where you can share new taste experiences and enjoy fine dining without formality.

People often ask about our name. As you may know, 63° is the perfect temperature for serving coffee. It's also ideal for a speciality of ours, which is cooking poultry low and slow to create tender and incomparable tastes. So, to us, 63° represents the love and care we put into all of our cooking. Over the past year, we've been delighted with the welcome and support that Manchester has given us and we hope to continue welcoming old friends and new acquaintances to join us in our love of good food and good company. We look forward to seeing you soon.
