How well do you know your coffee?
Krispy Kreme has revealed that the UK is a nation of Latte Lovers, with Cappucino connoisseurs coming in at a close second in the popularity rankings.
The hot beverage that was originally created as an after-dinner digestion aid, is now most commonly sipped from 11am-12pm, the new ‘coffee hour’ it seems.
With numerous choices available, such as 'extra wet' frappe venti doppio grande macchiato (yes!) it’s easy to forget the original filter coffee, or Americano as commonly known in the 21st century, but it’s still up there at number three on customers’ hit list.
With National Coffee Day on the horizon, Krispy Kreme UK has delved into the world of Arabica, froth, and coffee bean history with etiquette expert William Hanson.
So, what’s the best formula for the much-loved beverage? According to William Hanson, water at 80 degrees C is much better than boiling hot, so the coffee grounds don’t burn and produce a bitter taste.
Adding sugar? Just remember, it’s brown sugar for coffee, and white for tea, a mix up like that could spoil your favourite cuppa!
To finish it off, correctly serve your favourite coffee in an evenly shaped, cylindrical cup, or a ‘coffee can’ to those in the know. And voila – your perfect coffee!
So, now you know, get your pinky out, and get yourself into a Krispy Kreme store to sample its premium coffee range!
Made from fresh ground Arabica and robusta beans and served just how you like it by its skilled baristas, Krispy Kreme UK offers the perfect partnership with its selection off coffees and premium doughnut range in its 49 stores across the UK.
Krispy Kreme UK will also be represented in the 2014 Barista Championships in Manila this year. Emily Davis has perfected her skills at Krispy Kreme UK’s Bluewater store and will now join 13 other markets including Mexico, Australia and the UAE!
