Sheldrakes Nominated for Awards



Sheldrakes has recently been shortlisted for two prestigious awards. New Dish for Liverpool 08 (final 6) - Chefs in the region were asked to submit a new signature dish to symbolise the city of Liverpool in 2008, using local and regional produce. The aim is to highlight the talents, skills, professionalism and creativity of chefs in Merseyside. Sheldrakes is the only restaurant from the Wirral to be shortlisted. The final cook-off is scheduled for 19th May 08.


Taste of Merseyside (final 4) - Mersey Partnership Annual Tourism Awards 2008. Awards in recognition of excellence in tourism, presented at a glittering gathering in the new BT Convention Centre at Kings Dock on Wednesday 28th May 2008. Criteria included: consistent quality in the delivery and presentation of food, professionalism and commitment to customer service, use of local and regional produce, staff knowledge, accessibility (DDA), welcoming of international visitors in 08, care for the environment and creative marketing . The winner will automatically be put forward for the national awards.
