It was really nice and welcoming in the Saracens head, and the food was good too, we went for Sunday lunch and started with a delicious pea and ham soup. Love the log fire and the place gleamed, very good experience.

This pub has become a local for me and my family since it was taken over by the new staff. They are so welcoming and friendly and always have time to chat. The food is lovely my dad loves the chilli and rice its really good value. The drinks are all reasonably priced and they have a wide selection. The pub its self is very clean and tidy and well decorated, and what makes it extra special are all the seasonal decorations. In the evenings it is so cosy. I have to recommend the new years eve parties they have been great and we all intend to go there again this year! All together an really nice country pub!

i visited and tried the homemade cheese and onion pie i had heard it was very good.i have to say it lived up to what i heard. the pastry was light and fluffy and was served with homemade mushy peas which were very nice i would also recommend this too
