Visited this pub end of 2011 had a lovely experience, the management and staff were very accommodating, service for Sunday lunch had finished but they managed to rustle up three lovely meals for myself my friend and my daughter. The manager himself made sure that everything we needed was tended too! He also introduced us to the other patrons when we explained that we were visitors to the area. Everybody without exception was very friendly. It was surprisingly full (daytime) I thought public houses were on the wain but this place looked as if it was thriving. If I am down that way again I would definitely call in. Go see for yourself x Only critique is accessibility for disabled people if you are ambulant disabled like myself not too bad at all but if a wheelchair user no accessible toilets, probably due to size of building. But a lovely area outside the front of the pub though.

I was dissapointed to hear of unfavourable reviews re; The Bricklayers Arms in Altrincham. We have some very happy memories of the management and staff and of the excellent meals we ate there during our 2009 vacation. Good luck to all the 'Brickies'

On a day I had nothing to do I decided to jump on the fisrt tram that came along and it happened to be Altrincham bound. I wandered round the shops and saw The Bricklayers and liked the look of it from outside. I walked in and guess what, I liked the look at it from the inside as well and soon felt very much at home. The staff were very friendly, which reflected on the customers who soon made me feel welcome amongst them. I ordered a meal which was way above the "pub grub" standard with a great variation of choice. I was that comfortable that when it was time for me to leave I almost forgot that I hadn't paid for the delicious meal I had eaten.
