About Little Manor

The Little Manor in Old Thelwall was built in 1642 for a General in Oliver Cromwell's army. At that time it was called Thelwall Cottage, but it has obviously been extended and enlarged many times since, though it still exudes character in spades.

It is now a large, classic country pub with open fires, old furniture, wooden floors and rugs.

Total Score:
We dined before Christmas with a large group and the food and service was first class. We visited again last night and again it was very good overall. The service was a bit slower - they were very busy though. I had the beef suet pudding, the pudding was rather tough (perhaps over cooked), but aside from these minor things everything else was excellent. Good draft beer choice as well!

Total Score:
We are great fans of Brunning and Price pubs and when arranging to friends meet half way between Chester and North Manchester, our first port of call was their website to see what they had. The Little Manor fit the bill perfectly and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and the food to the usual high standards one experiences in a B&P pub.

A first class establishment where the customer is greeted and served by caring staff. Spoilt for choice regarding the menu and what a great choice of beers. The team here make the whole experience a delight. You must visit.
