About Windmill Inn

The Windmill is a fantastic example of a proper Cheshire country pub serving up homemade dishes with style and creativity complimented with a well kept bar of award winning local ales.

Set in nearly 2 acres of the Cheshire countryside, the Windmill is just off the A523 between Poynton and Macclesfield just a few yards from Bridge 25 of the Macclesfield Canal and the Middlewood Way.

As you can see below, there's always something coming up at the Windmill whether it be their monthly steak evening, vast range of live music acts or for one of their ever-changing offers.

We can't fault this family run inn and believe that whether you're visiting for a quick lunchtime sandwich or a relaxing evening meal; you'll leave with a smile on your face and a full belly!

Total Score:
Ate lunch here today, perfection. Last Wednesday I dined at the Ledbury in Notting Hill London which was voted no.14 best restaurant in the world, number 2 behind Heston Blumenthal in London, but food here today at Windmill was as good if not better! Monkfish, pancetta, pig cheek starter, chilli burger main, cheese selection to finish. 10 out of 10.

Total Score:
Really nice pub, friendly staff let us bring the dog in, grand kids were welcome and above all the food was really decent.

Total Score:
Lovely country pub surrounded by good walking and gorgeous scenery. Relaxed atmosphere - both family friendly and dog friendly - very busy but good 'smiley' service from staff. Food very plentiful, locally sourced and delicious. Sunday lunch was good value and will go back again to try other menus. Definitely worth a visit.
