What a gem! Fine dining experince without the pretentiousness. Warm welcome, good varied menu, local produce used, attentive staff, will definately visit agsin.
I have just returned from the Alvanley Arms this evening with my wife and can wholeheartedly recommend it. The meal was absolutely delicious; my wife ordered the pork escalopes with cooked pear which she said was one of the best meals out she's had in ages (and we have a lot of meals out!). I ate the chicken breast cooked in cream & nantwich blue cheese served with fresh seasonal veg & a choice of chips or tomato mash - both of which were beautiful. There are also a selection of Robinson's ales on tap. The place itself is lovely, very tastefully decorated rooms with fires going and comfy chairs. We can't wait to go back.
