Joseph Benjamin is a Chester restaurant owned and run by brothers Ben and Joe Wright. The idea behind the restaurant is simple – top quality food and drink in a comfortable and relaxed environment, prepared with honesty and integrity and served with care and attention.

The restaurant has held a Michelin 'Bib Gourmand' award (“offering good food at reasonable prices”) since 2012.

Joseph Benjamin opens at 9am for coffee and breakfast. Lunch is served from noon till 3pm and then, on a Thursday, Friday and Saturday, dinner is served from 6pm.

Passionately averse to the pretentiousness and fussiness of many new restaurant developments Ben and Joe are personally immersed in every aspect of the restaurant – head Chef Joe taking care of all things kitchen-related and Ben managing 'front of house' and 'doing the books' in his sleep.

Joe and his team put together a short menu of locally and seasonally focussed dishes that changes completely every few weeks and is broadly described as modern-British-European.
