Warrington & Vale Royal College’s award-winning Buckley’s restaurant is open to the general public and offers a relaxed atmosphere within which to enjoy industry standard cuisine from around the world. Run by the college’s talented hospitality and catering department, Buckley’s gives students the opportunity to develop their skills to a professional level, with students showcasing their abilities under the supervision of industry-experienced hospitality and catering staff. This gives students vital first-hand experience of what will be expected of them when working in industry. Since opening its doors in 2007, Buckley’s has built a reputation for top quality food and services at affordable prices. The mouth-watering menu regularly changes, with all ingredients locally sourced where possible, using the best of Cheshire and Wirral ingredients to produce exciting, fresh and modern cuisine. The talents of Buckley’s young chefs has been put to the test in numerous competitions, with the catering department recently returning from the Welsh International Culinary Championships with 13 medals – including the silver for the team competition. Buckley’s has also been awarded the prestigious, highly commendable AA Hospitality Rosette, as well as achieving silver accreditation for our hospitality provision. All staff with the department have experience in top establishments across the hospitality industry.
