Having heard that the Plough was re-open with new owners we decided to re-pay it a visit. We are very pleased we did! The menu had a good range of tempting foods on offer. I finally opted for the roasted pork belly served with delicious roasted apples and very tasty mash and my husband and 6yr old son tested the standards by ordering the fish and chips served with a lovely minted pea puree. Both dishes were nicely presented and very well cooked. The portion sizes were good and it was nice to have the option of a generous child fish and chips portion too. The service was friendly and the table layout seemed to work better than before. There also appears to be a nice children's play area where the pigs used to be. We are so pleased this lovely pub appears to be back in good hands, serving lovely food. We will definitely be back to sample more of the menu and encourage others to do the same.

Went to The Plough tonight for the second time and like the first time, we really enjoyed it.
Food was great, staff friendly and very helpful and the pub is lovely.
We had our children (aged 6 and 2) with us both times and they enjoyed it too and liked the 'Kiddie Pack' that they gave them to colour in.
We live 30 minutes away but this is now one of our favourite pubs for food and we recommend it to everyone.
We would recommend the Black Pudding and Hollandaise Sauce starter and the Rib Eye Steak main. Lovely.

Having a short break in Chester Bank Holiday. Visited Christleton and the Plough Inn. A very enjoyable experience, the Plough has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the new(ish) owners Pauline and David couldn't be nicer. They've done a great job bringing the place up to a fantastic standard. Would recommend that you pay a visit whenever your in the area.
