Went to the Purple Pakora for a birthday treat tonight, it was the BEST food we have had in a long time, the resturant was stunning and to top it all off it was the first time we have visited this resturant and they gave me balloons, sang to me and even gave me a gift. Truely wonderful.

Very tasty food, chicken dish wery juicy and tender, although not enough meat, seemed to be mainly sauce, the lamb very tough, needs marinading or something, some pieces on the bone could not prise the meat away. Good prices and staff quite attentive, lighting too low.

I visited the Purple Pakora in Disley last night (12th Feb 2010) and had a fantastic evening. The interior decor was unique and contemporary. Waiters were polite and courteous, but didn't mither - and offered to call a taxi for me at the end of the night. Most importantly the food was delicious, served with really funky cutlery and platter dishes. Lots of new and quirky dishes to choose from and a decent vegetarian selection for me! Also, lots of classic dishes and my boyfriend very much enjoyed the Indian beer. Very good value for money. Perhaps a little more expensive than some other Indian restaurants, but I felt you got more for your money in terms of taste, style and general service. Would love to try the Poynton Purple Pakora to compare and would certainly go back.
