Inspiring the next generation...

Robert Cox, Executive Chef at Michael Caines Restaurant at ABode Manchester is hoping to inspire a new legion of chef's as he is to be the Guest Chef at a dinner at South Trafford College.

Robert will be in the kitchens, cooking and preparing a meal to the standard served in the Michael Caines Restaurant using the students from the college for a collection of 40 paying diners.

ABode Manchester have long championed the nurturing of new talent, having had a new intake of apprentices every year since they opened, following on from the footsteps of double-Michelin starred Michael Caines himself, who has his own academy in conjunction with Exeter College.

Says Rob, "Nurturing the next generation of chefs is crucial to ensure we have the right talent to fit into our brigades. Working closely with colleges like South Trafford we can also make sure they are kept in touch with the latest developments in commercial kitchens."

This dinner follows hot on the heels from Robert's own protégé Adam Leavy making the semi-final of the BBC's MasterChef: The Professionals.
